Google I/O Innovative Event Design

I/O brings together developers, partners, programmers, students, and technologists from around the world — hosting 5,000 in-person attendees for the kickoff Keynote, which is also streamed live to over 2 million viewers.

Navigating Corporate Event Solutions

Google traditionally kicked-off their IO Keynote session with a 30-minute countdown displayed by a timer projected on screens.

They did not want just any corporate event solution, but instead came to us to innovate the countdown in an engaging way that spoke to the audience of makers, tinkerers, and developers.

Orchestrating Event Production

In collaboration with Brett Doar, the team designed and developed a large-scale Rube Goldberg Machine that began with a 10-foot tall mechanical clock counting down the kick-off of the Keynote.

Through engineering, programming, coding, and interactive event technology the contraption merged physical and on-screen digital sequences which played out live in front of five-thousand attendees.
